Don Firestone started this business as a used car dealership in 1939 at 8th and Market Streets in Lemoyne. The lot remained in operation during World War II, even while he was serving in the Navy. In 1946, he was appointed a Plymouth and Dodge dealership, and moved his operation to 1029 Market Street. The business remained a Plymouth and Dodge factory dealership until the mid-1950's.

In the mid-1950's a new business was started on South 3rd Street in Lemoyne that specialized in civilian and military trucks and truck parts. In the early 1980's, the military end of the business was phased out and the company began to specialize in civilian trucks and civilian truck parts.

Today, Firestone Motors, Inc. is a major player in the used truck-tractor and trailer marketplace on the East Coast. There are three warehouses on 10 acres of land. On average, there are 400 trucks for salvage at any given time. We employ a fulltime diesel mechanic and body technician, and have yard personnel to assist in removing items. Our knowledgeable sales staff can aid you in the purchase and financing of a pre-owned truck-tractor, trailer or equipment.
